Lose
Fat
the Healthy Way
A weight loss program
that detoxifies your body and resets your fat burning mechanism.
The Turbo Protein Diet weight loss program is based on the book by Dr. Dieter Markert from Germany. His book is based on his suggestions for dieting with Almased, and is not associated with the Almased company. The Almased company suggests the weight loss program The Synergy Diet. |
A Common
Pattern of Weight Loss
What a joy when the needle
on your scales begins to descend! Your self-confidence grows; but, to maintain
the losing trend, you continue to torture yourself. You count every calorie and
resist the edible temptations that would, in the past, cheer you up. In addition,
you summon all your willpower and begin to exercise. When at last the unwanted
pounds disappear, you have a sigh of relief and gradually return to eating as
usual again.
However, after faithfully
following a weight-reduction diet, over and over again we find ourselves faced
with the frustration of discovering the return of the pounds we tried so hard
to lose! It`s true: sometimes, in spite of our best efforts, we gain weight after
dieting. The following report tells you how to overcome this pattern of weight
loss / weight gain known as the "yo-yo effect."
Why
the Weight Returns - Our Sleeping Metabolism
It is a scientific fact
that after a certain amount of time on a low-calorie diet our metabolism (the
rate at which our body burns calories) adapts to the reduced food supply. In
times of deprivation (or strict dieting) it slows down and, in a way, falls asleep.
This means that our metabolism no longer works as it does when we are receiving
adequate nourishment. Luckily for us this survival mode exists, it`s a natural
precaution against starvation. However when we return to eating as usual, the
body cannot efficiently burn the food we consume and in no time at all the inches
and pounds we worked so hard to lose return. Not only that, but already having
experienced physical weakness due to recent dieting, we become irritable and
discouraged.
This cycle of weight loss,
weight gain, while discouraging, is not inevitable. There is a way of activating
and stimulating the metabolism even during a weight-reduction diet. How? With protein,
specifically a protein mix of both vegetable and animal (honey enzymes) origin. This balance can be found in Almased, a revolutionary
protein supplement.
The Turbo-Protein
Diet
The following brief instructions are based on the book "The Turbo Protein Diet" by German doctor, Dieter Markert. For full and complete instructions, please read his book, which is available for purchase individually, or included with your diet kit. Click here to purchase the book. Energetic Nutrition suggests you follow this diet while under the supervision of a health care practitioner.
Determining the amount of Almased to take:
One serving (meal) of Almased equals 6 to 10 tablespoons, depending on your height. Please refer to the Calculating Your Almased Meal chart below to determine how much Almased you should consume for your height and the phase of the Diet you are currently on.
Cleansing
Day 1 - Eat light meals
during the day. That evening, cleanse your digestive system with a laxative or
laxative tea. It is best to do your cleansing in the evening so you can start
your fast upon waking the next day.
Fast for up to 14 days
Days 2 through 14 (or
less) - The fasting phase includes consuming 3 or meals per day of Almased. Mix
Almased
with a cool liquid by putting the Almased into the glass first and
then adding the liquid. More liquid makes a thinner shake, less liquid makes
a thicker shake, as you prefer.
Consume your daily Almased
meals for as many days as you wish, up to 14 days. Do not consume solid food
or sugar of any kind. Drink plenty of fluids, up to 3 quarts per day (water,
tea or similar). You should drink low-salt vegetable broth and/or decaf green
tea with or between your Almased meals. You may continue the use of vitamin and
mineral supplements. If you experience some muscle pain or headache after a few
days, it will be most likely caused by "free radicals" dissolved by
the diet, also known as detoxification. You can speed the process by using anti-oxidant
supplements and increasing your water, broth, and green tea intake.
Ending the Fast and Beginning Maintenance
Day
After your Diet - You can break your fast by having an apple for breakfast then
a light lunch of soup or salad and a light dinner. You should eat lightly the
first day after the fast to allow your digestive system to readjust to solid
food or you might become constipated. Your body should be ready for regular eating
by the second day. You should begin your maintenance program at this time by
adding about 3 to 5 level tablespoons of Almased to your daily routine. The Almased powder
can be mixed into yogurt, salad dressing, or drink of your choice. A few tablespoons
more can give you a boost at times of high stress or intense activity.
Another option for maintenance is following the Holding Phase of the Almased Synergy Diet for 4 to 6 weeks before returning to regular eating.
Repeating the
Fast
With the guidance of your health care practitioner, you may, if you wish,
repeat the two week fast over and over until you have lost all your excess weight.
You should wait at least 4 weeks between fasts, or the length of time your practitioner suggests. You may use the Reduction or Holding Phase of the Almased Synergy Diet between fasts to continue with weight loss, but don't be too extreme with it.
Sometimes life gets in
the way of the best laid plans for a weight loss program. With Almased you have
flexibility. If you need to stop your Turbo Diet a little early, perhaps
switch over to the Almased Synergy Diet. You can then restart your fast after
4 weeks. Or, simply continue with the Almased Synergy Diet until you
have lost your excess weight.

Diet Program
Suggestions
Exercise:
Exercise
is vital to your dieting success!! Some kind of exercise program will additionally
stimulate your metabolism. There are many simple physical movements that you can enjoy and can be easily done without
much cost.
Almased suggests developing an exercise routine that fits into your daily routine. Determine a time of day in which you are most comfortable working out and set aside that time. If you do not already exercise, start off slow and increase at your own pace. It is not required that you do an extensive workout - even a short walk once a day can help your overall health and increase your weight loss.
Maintenance Tips:
It is up to you to maintain your weight loss by continuing to eat healthy low
calorie meals and getting plenty of exercise. You can also aid this maintenance
with continued use of Almased. In order to maintain your weight, renew your cells,
or for purification purposes, you should try to incorporate Almased into your diet each day;
you can do this as a single meal replacement (such as a breakfast shake) or have it as a snack between meals.
Children,
stressed, and elderly people who do not want to lose weight can take 2 to 4 tablespoons, twice a day, in the evening and before bedtime. See Other
Uses of Almased for further details.
Try to stay away from fried and fast foods . Only eat snacks if hunger demands it or if you have an elevated nutrition requirement (e.g. with diabetes, during exercise, pregnancy, breastfeeding, etc.). A healthy snack should consist of vegetables and fewer fruits, whole grains, or low-fat milk products.
Anti-Oxidants:
It is very
important to consume enough antioxidants to flush the "free radicals" dissolved
by the diet. This process is also known as detoxification. Green tea, vegetable broth, and vegetable juice contain antioxidants. For optimal results with this, or any other
diet, detoxifying with antioxidants is the best thing to avoid detoxification symptoms such as headaches or muscle pain.
Antioxidant supplements, in addition to the green tea and broth, may enhance
this detoxification process.
You
may order a Detoxify Kit that
includes
very effective
antioxidant supplements to
assist you during any of the
diets.
You can read
more about the importance of detoxifying with antioxidants on the My
Story and Helpful Hints page. Near the top, you can click on a link to
jump directly to the Antioxidants section.
Liquids:
While on
the Turbo Protein Diet, best results will be obtained when using water with Almased. The amount of water used is determined by your preference, a thick shake
needs little water while a thinner one uses more. Since it is the goal of the Turbo Protein Diet to detoxify your body as well as to facilitate weight loss, more water
is preferable and you should try to stick with it for at least the first 3-4
days.
It is possible to use other liquids with your Almased as long as you avoid
sugar, carbohydrates and carbonation. Some dieters like to use Crystal Light® or
DIET V-8® Splash with their Almased, but you have to consider some of the ingredients in these products. If you need to sweeten your Almased shake, we suggest natural sweeterners, such as Stevia.
You may also mix Almased with your veggie broth, but make sure to cool the
broth first. You should NEVER mix Almased in anything hot or very cold, as it
destroys the enzymes in the product. If you wish, you can drink your daily coffee (about 1 to 2 cups) but Dr. Markert recommends you avoid caffeinated products. We don't recommend mixing Almased with coffee, not even when it is cold.
Consume
in moderation only:
Coffee,
alcohol, tobacco, fatty meats, sausage, eggs, bleached flours,
industrial sugars and sweets of any kind. Obesity increases your risk of heart
disease, stroke, and tumors.
Caution from Almased company:
"In his Turbo Protein Diet Book Dr. Markert recommends to replace all meals for two weeks with Almased. Due to the excessive weight loss in these 2 weeks, Almased recommends to engage in Dr. Markert's program only under the supervision of your health care practitioner." Please read the Almased Synergy Diet for a milder weight loss program.

Example: A person 5 6" would consume 8 tablespoons in each shake, 3 times a day, if they wanted to consume only 3 meals. If that person wanted to consume 6 meals instead, they would use 1/2 the amount of Almased for each shake (ie 4 tablespoons).
